Wonderful signed copy of The Troubled Man by Henning Mankell, the last of the Kurt Wallander novels. Wallander, nearing retirement, is pulled into the disappearance of his daughter's future father-in-law, a retired naval officer whose story reaches back to Cold War submarine incidents, and the back cover says it plainly: Booklist's starred review calls it "a landmark moment in the genre" and "an unforgettable series finale," and El Periódico calls it "the best of Mankell's books, without a doubt." Published in 2011 by Alfred A. Knopf of New York. First North American Edition. ISBN 978-0-307-59349-8. Translated from the Swedish by Laurie Thompson; originally published in Sweden as Den orolige mannen in 2009.

This copy appears hand-signed by Henning Mankell on the title page. The book is in very good condition. The quarter-bound red-and-gray boards are vivid and clean, the spine is straight, and the dust jacket, housed in a clear protective sleeve, is in very good condition, clean and bright with only light edge wear.
