Wonderful very rare copy of The Picayune's Creole Cook Book 2nd Edition. Published in 1901 by The Picayune of New Orleans, Louisiana. The hardcover cookbook is in acceptable condition for its age, with wear to the cover, edges, and spine. The binding is fairly firm, but may require some repair. There is some staining to the top of several of the front and back pages. The name of the original owner is printed on the inside cover page, along with a date of 1902, and a stamp from the original bookseller - H. H Hawley of Dallas, Texas. This is likely the best copy of this very prized cookbook to come up for sale in recent years.
