First United States edition of The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson, the third and concluding Millennium novel, following The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played with Fire. Lisbeth Salander, shot and buried alive at the end of the second book, fights for her life and her freedom as the conspiracy around her finally comes into the open, and the back cover gathers the trilogy's reviews, from the Los Angeles Times to Michael Connelly. Published in 2010 by Alfred A. Knopf of New York. First United States Edition. ISBN 978-0-307-26999-7. Translated from the Swedish by Reg Keeland; originally published in Sweden as Luftslottet som sprängdes in 2007.
A note on the signature, stated plainly: the jacket carries an "Autographed Copy" sticker, but this copy is signed by the book's translator, Reg Keeland. His signature appears on the title page directly beneath his printed translator credit, as shown in the photos. It is NOT signed by Stieg Larsson, who died in 2004, six years before this American edition was published. Offered as exactly what it is, a first US edition hand-signed by the translator of the Millennium trilogy.
The book is in very good condition. The gray-and-black boards are clean and the spine is straight. The dust jacket is in good condition, with scuffing and fine scratching to the silver foil and a crumpled top corner on the back panel, and it is housed in a clear protective sleeve.
Great find at a great price! Please note the S&H charges, which include USPS postage, materials, and handling. Pictured bookends are not included in the sale.
