James B. Lile: The Arkansas Knifesmith, Knifemaker to the World, by Jack Lucarelli and John H. Hill Jr., with Miller, Wise and Wilson. Published in 2007 by Graphic Publishers of Santa Ana, California. First Edition, Standard Edition. This copy is inscribed and signed by co-author John Henry Hill Jr. on his letter page: "To Roxanne, Best Wishes." Jimmy Lile of Russellville, Arkansas was one of America's most celebrated custom knifemakers — maker of the Rambo knives for First Blood and Rambo: First Blood Part II, inventor of the patented "Lile Lock" folding hunter, and a Blade Magazine Cutlery Hall of Fame inductee. This massive volume (over 525 pages) documents his life and work in depth: the early years, fixed blade knives, Bowie knives, folders, combat and survival knives, the movie era, sheaths, and hundreds of photographs of his knives.

The book is in Near Fine condition: the black cloth boards are clean, the gilt spine lettering is bright, and the text is clean throughout. The dust jacket is in Good condition, with light edge wear and a small tear at the top edge.

Great find at a great price! Please note the S&H charges, which include USPS postage, materials, and handling. Pictured bookends are not included in the sale.
