Wonderful vintage copy of Volumes 1 - 5 of A Popular Commentary on The New Testament by Daniel Denision Whedon. Published between 1874 and 1882 by Hodder and Stoughton of London. The hardcover gilded books are in very good condition for their ages, with some minor wear to the covers and edges. The interior pages of the books have some foxing, which is expected for books of this age. The inside cover pages are beautifully marbled (see photos). There is a vintage Union Jack sticker affixed to the inside cover of volume one (see photos) - along with two inscriptions on the following pages (see photos). The books are not all part of the an original set, but were collected over time. The set includes:
